Making and Meaning
After a visit to The Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford and spending time looking at their collection of amulets and talismans I spent some time thinking about the meaning that is held within objects for some that are otherwise mundane items to others.
I then thought about objects that I have as a way of considering my current situation and hopes for the future.
I created this ritual object and whilst making it spent time thining about and visualising my hopes.

These items are now imbued with meaning and are tied together by nettle cordage. Each has a purpose and stands as a metaphor for something important to me.
