Beach casting a pewter worry stone
Join me for a unique, grounding experience where nature, creativity, and emotional wellbeing come together. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll be guided through the process of casting your own personal worry stone using molten pewter in either the sand beneath your feet or a cuttlefish bone. There will be a selection of chosen forms as a base for your worry stone or you may wish to choose a pebble or shell from the beach.
11th May 9:30am - 12:00
Margate Palm Bay Beach - meet outside The Palm Bay Café
Set against the serene backdrop of the beach, participants will use the ancient technique of sand/cuttlefish casting to create a tactile object imbued with both intention and elemental power. The stone you shape will not only carry the impression of your chosen design, but also the memory of place—formed by the earth and cooled by the sea air.
Whether you seek a symbol of resilience, a touchstone for mindfulness, or a simple object to hold during anxious moments, your pewter worry stone will serve as a lasting reminder of your strength, creativity, and connection to the wild, calming rhythm of the shoreline.
No previous experience is necessary. All materials are provided. Come as you are—leave with something meaningful.
NB: You must have a booking in advance to attend. It is not possible to turn up on the day.
